Every stay is personalized to your dog’s needs, energy level, and personality. Whether they love to play, explore, or spend the day relaxing and snuggling, they’ll receive the same level of care, attention, and love as if they were my own.

With a focus on comfort, safety, and genuine connection, my goal is to create a space where dogs feel secure, happy, and completely at ease while you’re away.

Hi, I’m Amanda—the heart behind Sit + Stay by Golden Heart.

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Over the years, I’ve cared for my own dogs, as well as the dogs of friends and family, and one thing has always been clear to me—dogs aren’t just pets, they’re family.

That’s why I created Sit + Stay.

I wanted to offer something different from traditional boarding. A place where dogs feel safe, relaxed, and truly at home. No kennels, no stress—just a calm, loving environment where your dog is treated like one of my own.

Outside of Sit + Stay, I’m also a mom and have spent most of my career in the medical field, which has shaped my attentiveness and level of care. I love art, learning new things, and of course—anything involving animals.

Whether your dog loves to play, explore, or simply snuggle up and relax, I tailor each stay to their personality and needs.

My goal is simple:

for every dog that stays with me to feel safe, loved, and completely at home.

Because when you leave your dog with me, you’re not just finding care…

you’re finding someone who will love them like you do.

She’s my girl, my shadow, and the heart behind everything I’m building.

Bailey is gentle, calm, and so incredibly loving. She has the sweetest soul and has always had a special way of making people—and other animals—feel safe.

She’s in her senior era now, so she loves her naps… but every now and then she still has little bursts of puppy energy that make me smile every time.

Bailey has the most amazing way with other dogs. She’s incredibly intuitive and reads them so well. If a dog is nervous, she gives them space. If they’re playful, she’ll happily join in. And if they’re a little rambunctious, she’s patient—but will gently step into her role as the “teacher” when needed.

She has such a calm, motherly presence and helps create a peaceful, balanced environment for every pup that comes into our home.

She’s a big reason why I believe dogs deserve more than just a place to stay—they deserve to feel safe, loved, and truly at home.

She truly has a heart of gold… just like the kind of business and life I’m building here.
